Rainforest Eye is a tropical rainforest media project with the goal to build appreciation, understanding and awareness through highlighting the ecology of the forest in interesting and entertaining ways.
Rainforests are not only beautiful, but they are also the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. Protecting them is absolutely essential for maintaining a healthy stable climate. By protecting these animal & plant species, we protect ourselves. Let's build a stronger relationship with the rainforest.
Rainforest Eye highlights the work of great photographers, biologists, conservationists and indigenous peoples around the world who add to our understanding of these tropical ecosystems. Rainforest Eye produces short videos and documentaries about nature, as well as the people who work and live in these areas. It is our goal to continue to grow our documentary capabilities as our reach and resources expand, featuring them on Youtube and any other relevant platform.
It is also the goal to become a publisher of books for the general public by various photographers, biologists and conservationists. This includes full color photo essay books on ecosystems around the world, as well as engaging topic-specific books. Rainforest Eye sells merchandise such as shirts, water bottles, tote bags etc, which help fund the growth and operational costs of this platform, including specific items whose portion of the proceeds go to support the work various NGOs. We will increase this as time goes on.
In addition, Rainforest Eye plans to produce site specific conservation art projects, and sell rainforest related art in the near future.
As we grow and evolve, in the future we hope to take part in the development of sustainable agriculture programs, specifically permaculture/agroforestry, from co-designing new systems to the decimation of this information throughout the tropical world. Lastly as we expand, it is our goal to establish and co-found new reserves under separate NGO management.
Let's protect the rainforest.
